Junior/Senior baseball is a program focused on fun, fitness and fundamentals where players ages 12-16 are introduced to the next level of baseball. The experience in this division should be based on teaching the fundamentals of the game in a fun environment. Players will need to attend a tryout for team placement.

Special requests will be considered for players on a case-by-case basis if:
Player has never played before with zero understanding of the game

Note: Tryouts are for team placement only. All players will be assigned to a team.
Season Dates-
- Early April through mid-June.
- Game days will vary Monday through Saturday.
- Practices may begin mid-March and will be at the coach's discretion.
- NO games May 25th-May 29th during the JUCO World Series.
- Note: If selected, an All-stars player's season will be extended well into summer.

Players will work to develop skills throughout the season in preparation to try out for the MLL All-Star team to represent MLL at the Little League Colorado District 1 Tournament and beyond!!! All-Star Tryout Date- TBD. PLAYERS MUST LIVE OR ATTEND A SCHOOL WITHIN MONUMENT LITTLE LEAGUE BOUNDARIES TO QUALIFY FOR ALL-STAR TEAM CONSIDERATION. ***EXCEPTION*** A PLAYER FROM OUTSIDE THE MONUMENT LITTLE LEAGUE BOUNDARY MAY QUALIFY IF THEY HAVE A YOUNGER SIBLING LEAGUE AGE 4-7 PLAYING AT MONUMENT LITTLE LEAGUE. Little League All-Stars is a competitive post-season program that offers players the opportunity to: Develop advanced skills, Play before large crowds, Compete for a District Championship, Advance to the State Tournament, and Participate in the Little League World Series.
Here are some things to know about Little League All-Stars:
Eligibility:
Players must meet the Little League Residency and School Attendance Player Eligibility Requirement, be the correct age for the tournament division, and have played in at least eight regular season games.
Tournament levels
There are six levels of tournament play in Little League Baseball and five in Little League Softball.
Tournament structure
The tournament starts at the District level and teams must win their way to advance through the International Tournament.
Learning experience
All-Stars can be a challenging experience for players and their parents. Players may learn to sit on the bench, contribute when given a limited opportunity, and share the success the team achieves.
Additional time commitments
The All-Stars season selection includes additional time commitments, such as attending all practices and participating in all Warm Up Tournament(s) and game(s).
***Starting in 2025- Little League players league age 4-7 will be able to register for any Little League program without regard to geography of school enrollment requirements:
League Choice: Players can register for any Little League program they want.
Eligibility: Players are eligible to participate in all aspects of league play, including International Tournament play.
Participation: Players must maintain continuous and inbroken participation in the league they initially register for.
Siblings: Siblings of active players who are league age 4-7 or younger can also participate in the same league. (Peewee Division excluded)
*This new rule is intended to increase access and opportunity for young players.
Bat Specifications:
The bat must be a baseball bat which meets the USA Baseball Bat standard (USABat) as adopted by Little League. It shall be a smooth, rounded stick, and made of wood or of material and color tested and proved acceptable to the USA Baseball Bat standard (USABat).
Non-wood and laminated bats used in the Little League (Majors) and below, Intermediate (50-70) Division, and Junior League divisions, shall bear the USA Baseball logo signifying that the bat meets the USABat – USA Baseball’s Youth Bat Performance Standard. All BPF – 1.15 bats are prohibited. The bat diameter shall not exceed 2⅝ inches for these divisions of play. Bats meeting the Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution (BBCOR) standard may also be used in the Intermediate (50-70) Division and Junior League Division. Junior League:
It shall not be more than 34″ inches in length; nor more than 2⅝ inches in diameter, and if wood, not less than fifteen-sixteenths (15/16) inches in diameter (7/8 inch for bats less than 30″) at its smallest part. Wood bats taped or fitted with a sleeve may not exceed eighteen (18) inches from the small end.
NOTE 1: Solid one-piece wood barrel bats do not require a USA Baseball logo.
NOTE 2: Also, permitted for the Intermediate (50-70) Division and Junior League Division are bats meeting the BBCOR performance standard, and so labeled with a silkscreen or other permanent certification mark. The certification mark shall be rectangular, a minimum of a half-inch on each side and located on the barrel of the bat in any contrasting color. Aluminum/alloy and composite bats shall be marked as to their material makeup being aluminum/alloy or composite. This marking shall be silkscreen or other permanent certification mark, a minimum of one-half-inch on each side, and located on the barrel of the bat in any contrasting color.
Senior League:
It shall not be more than 36 inches in length, nor more than 2⅝ inches in diameter, and if wood, not less than fifteen-sixteenths (15/16) inches in diameter (7/8 inch for bats less than 30″) at its smallest part. Wood bats taped or fitted with a sleeve may not exceed eighteen (18) inches from the small end. The bat shall not weigh, numerically, more than three ounces less than the length of the bat (e.g., a 33-inch-long bat cannot weigh less than 30 ounces). All bats not made of a single piece of wood shall meet the Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution (BBCOR) performance standard, and such bats shall be so labeled with a silkscreen or other permanent certification mark. The certification mark shall be rectangular, a minimum of a half-inch on each side and located on the barrel of the bat in any contrasting color. Aluminum/alloy and composite bats shall be marked as to their material makeup being aluminum/alloy or composite. This marking shall be silkscreen or other permanent certification mark, a minimum of one-half-inch on each side, and located on the barrel of the bat in any contrasting color.
In all divisions, non-wood bat must have a grip of cork, tape, or composition material, and must extend a minimum of 10 inches from the small end. Slippery tape or similar material is prohibited.
NOTE 1: The traditional batting donut is not permissible.
NOTE 2: The use of pine tar or any other similar adhesive substance is prohibited at all levels of Little League Baseball. Use of these substances will result in the bat being declared illegal and removed from play.
NOTE 3: Non-wood bats may develop dents from time to time. Bats that have cracks or sharp edges, or that cannot pass through the approved Little League bat ring for the appropriate division must be removed from play. The 2-1/4-inch bat ring must be used for bats labeled 2-1/4. The 2-5/8-inch bat ring must be used for bats labeled for 2-5/8.
NOTE 4: An illegal bat must be removed. Any bat that has been altered shall be removed from play. PENALTY – See Rule – 6.06(d).
Approved Ruling: If the certification mark/s on a bat are not legible, that bat cannot be used and shall be removed from the game.
